Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper |
Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Shrove Tuesday is also called Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras. Pancakes are often associated with Shrove Tuesday because they were a way to use up rich foods such as eggs, milk, and sugar, before the fasting season of the 40 days of Lent. All Angels continues that tradition by sharing a pancake supper in the Parish Hall on Shrove Tuesday. |
