Outreach

All Angels logo Although All Angels is a small Episcopal church, it does not stop us from being involved with our community, while also supporting Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta programs.
Appleton Episcopal Ministries

Appleton
Appleton began as a home for orphaned daughters of Civil War soldiers.  Today, it remains the oldest social outreach ministry in the Diocese of Atlanta providing after-school programs and summer camps for both boys and girls.

Appleton provides grants, to parishes in the Macon Convocation, to help with the funding of projects by those parishes.

Putnam Christian Outreach (PCO)

PCO
All Angels has always supported PCO with donations of funds and food. In the past, we received a grant from Appleton to purchase protein–rich food and made two trips a month to the Middle Georgia Food bank to purchase these foods.

Our lastest grant is in support of the PCO back-pack ministry which provides elementary and middle school students with food on the weekends.  The students in this program are home alone and need meals which are easy for them to eat without needing to be heated.  Currently, there are 130 students identified by their teachers.  PCO expects this number to go higher.

During the school year, Golden Harvest Food Bank provides up to 120 packages of food, which includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 snacks and a drink.  Volunteers, including those from All Angels, shop for food to supplement those packages with an additional meal and other items like milk for cereal.  They also replace any food not easily opened or needing to be heated. On Tuesdays, volunteers also pack the food which is delivered to the schools. During summer vacation, All Angels and other churches use grants and donations to continue to feed these children.

This year, the high school identified 20 high school students living on their own while working and going to school.  All Angels members committed to donate funds and food for these students.

PCO has always been committed to changing lives in our community with food, shelter, household goods, and clothing. For more information on PCO, click on this link to their website.

Firemen's Fund for Christmas Presents

During the holidays, the Eatonton Fire Department collects donations, which they use to buy toys for children, who otherwise would not receive a gift at Christmas. All Angels gives to this fund to bring joy into a child's life.

Episcopal Relief and Development

ERD
Episcopal Relief and Development is the compassionate response of the Episcopal Church to human suffering in the world. Hearing God’s call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being.
Their mandate comes from Jesus' words found in Matthew 25:
“Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” NRSV
